Ben Lloyd ditched his gut and built lean muscle using newbodyplan.com – but the real highlight of his 6 week body transformation and weight loss journey was waving goodbye to health issues that had plagued him for years.

“At the start of the first lockdown I had good intentions of healthy eating and doing home workouts,” Lloyd tells MF, “but as time went on I found myself sitting the garden, having a few drinks, and the good intentions slipped away,

“When that lockdown ended I was quite a bit heavier and not feeling very good about myself. So when the second lockdown was announced I decided I need a proper approach, and a plan, so I wouldn’t make the same mistakes and could focus on looking after myself.”

The 33-year-old had tried to get into shape before, but never saw the results he wanted because he would constantly chop and change [his] training and nutrition so nothing ever had enough time to really work.”

Lloyd would also regularly wake up low on energy and with a sore stomach: “I’d been living with it for years and the discomfort would affect my mood for the rest of the day.”

Starting my 6 week body transformation

“I was resigned to always feeling a bit ropey and thought I’d just have to live with it, but signing up with newbodyplan.com changed everything – this is the best I’ve felt for as long as I can remember.

“It’s massively improved my quality of life, so while the fat loss and other physical changes were great, it’s finally feeling really fit and healthy that I’m most happy about.”

Joe Warner, who designed the ‘Six-Week Shred’ training and nutrition plan Lloyd followed, believes that anyone can replicate his remarkable results, so long as they have the right attitude.

“It all starts with a desire to make a change,” says Warner, “and then committing to a plan that will make that your dream a reality, one step at a time.

“That’s really the secret to successful weight loss: consistency. And the best bit is once you are consistent in moving your body more and eating well, the benefits aren’t just physical. You’ll also feel so much more optimistic, confident and happy – and we could all do with a little more positivity right now.”
