While you can wear them for all kinds of workouts, Runderwear’s briefs are primarily designed to deliver support and prevent chafing while you’re running, no matter how many miles you log. See how they stacks up against the rest of the best moisture-wicking underwear.

Runderwear Running Boxers features

The fabric – made from 92% recycled polyamide and 8% elastane – is knitted in a circular pattern, for a smooth and comfortable finish that feels great against the skin. And the whole thing has a seamless design that cuts the risk of rubbing so no nasty friction burns. In fact, Runderwear offers a no-chafe guarantee.

This version on test is the 5-inch inseam boxer but there are longer legged versions too. Or, if you want something to pair with your short shorts, you can opt for budgie smuggler briefs.

The lightweight, breathable material is more textured than the shiny, smooth fabrics you’ll find on Under Armour Tech 6-inch Boxerjock, Reebok Performance Boxer Briefs and Gymshark Sports Tech workout boxers. So it’s not quite as silky against the skin but it’s great at preventing overheating, with reliable sweat-wicking and fast drying.

The waistband is broad enough to ensure a pressure-free, stay-put fit with no cutting in or rolling up. The support is impressive on runs at any pace or over any distance. And though these are made for runners, they’re every bit as capable for your HIIT sessions or weights workouts.

The legs also have silicone grips to hold them in place as your body moves. That’s pretty effective at preventing the boxers from riding up but the feeling of silicone on skin might not be everyone’s cup of tea. It tends to become more noticeable on longer runs.

The fabric is durable and holds its shape well, even after six months of regular run miles and trips through the wash cycle.

The Runderwear Running Boxers come in two colours – black or teal – as well as five sizes from S to XXL.
