Vertica, a new product from Ohh-Med Medical, is an innovative device developed by urologists and experts in radiofrequency (RF) technology
Erectile dysfunction (ED) impacts more men than you think. Research has shown that as many as 40% of men in their 40s and 70% of men in their 70s will suffer with the condition at some point. While medical interventions have been available for decades, tackling the root cause rather than the symptoms has proven more challenging. Until Vertica.
Vertica is a medical device to be used in the privacy of your home. It’s designed to be used as a ‘gym’ to treat erectile dysfunction by correcting venous leakage, the root cause of ED. It is totally drug-free with no prescription required, and unlike inhibitor drugs, has no side effects.
The smart device works as follows: the user simply place their penis into the device, which then gently warms its inner tissues, triggering a physiological process that regenerates cells within the Tunica Albuginea (TA), the fibrous tissue responsible for maintaining the erectile mechanism. Using Vertica helps to trap blood and prevent leakage, and results in the restoration of spontaneous, longer lasting, and more rigid erections.
A recent study published in the International Journal of Impotence Research saw 28 participants who had suffered from ED use Vertica for four weeks, with 12 treatments of 30 minutes each across that period. The RF technology was found to improve erectile function and quality among participants with more than an 85% success rate, without any side effects.
Ohh-Med Medical recommends three 30-minute treatments per week for the first month, dropping to twice weekly for another 30 days. Many men experience results after just four to six weeks.
Life-changing results
“Vertica is a revolutionary idea and, based on the results of the clinical trial, one that promises to be potentially life-changing for men suffering with ED,” says Dr Fabio Castiglione, Consultant Urologist and Andrologist at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Associate Professor at the University College London (UCL).
“The device is the first in the medical scenario to treat the outflow and not just the inflow [of blood to the penis] and is a credible alternative solution to other available treatments designed to improve the erectile mechanism.”
Registered with the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in the UK, and having received CE-MDR approval in Europe – with FDA clearance in the US expected in late 2024 – Vertica promises to be a ‘game-changer’ in this space, especially for men looking to avoid taking medication which can have side effects.
Daniel Lischinsky, founder of Ohh-Med Medical, says Vertica is an “effective and long-lasting solution that treats the root cause of erectile dysfunction, rather than just the symptom. It improves male self-esteem and confidence by supporting a full and active sex life.”
