Made for gym workouts, these technical Gymshark 315 Seamless Tights are the comfiest on test and offer some mild compression benefits, writes Kieran Alger.
While Gymshark’s 315 leggings aren’t strictly compression tights, the tight baselayer fit offers some mild compressive qualities. Designed for gym workouts, these thick and chunky construction tights slip on effortlessly. They’re ideal for wearing underneath shorts or even the best sweatpants on colder days.
Men’s Fitness verdict

How we tested these compression tights
Kieran Alger is one of our top fitness product reviewers where running is concerned, so he was the obvious choice to put these compression tights through their paces. When conducting these reviews, Kieran paid attention to factors like fit, comfort, level of compression, and any other extra features that might be present.
Main features of the Gymshark 315 Seamless Leggings
These leggings feature different material textures on the quads, knees, calves, shins and hamstrings, which makes for an excellent fit that flexes exactly where you need it, whatever drill you’re doing.
I found these to be incredibly comfortable tights, in fact I sometimes forgot I was even wearing them. They’re soft and smooth next to the skin with a good balance of warmth, support and protection. The flat-seam gusset was nicely chafe-free, even on 10km treadmill runs and longer outdoor sessions. These were the comfiest compression tights I tested, but as a trade-off they do lack tight medical-grade technology.
There’s a nice soft, wide drawstring waistband that helps you find a good fit and substantial elasticated ankle cuffs that prevent the legs from riding up, so everything stays where you want it, even when you’re squatting deep. That waistband also won’t cut in like some thinner alternatives, even if you’re not as trim around the middle as you’d like.
Despite the thicker fabric, I found that the sweat wicking performance of the Gymshark 315 Seamless tights was impressive and they dried relatively quickly (though not as quickly as some on test). With their limited compression benefits, though, I’d recommend these more as a baselayer for warmth than recovery.
